Two new albums were released today as a part of The Official Bootleg Series: The Ducks: High Flyin’ (Live) and Somewhere Under The Rainbow 1973 Neil Young and the Santa Monica Flyers (Live).
High Flying’ is the first official lease by The Ducks – the group that Neil played with over the summer of 1977. The band (Neil Young, Bob Mosley, Jeff Blackburn, and Johnny Craviotto) played shows in Santa Cruz, CA.
Somewhere Under The Rainbow is a recording of a performance by Neil Young and the Santa Monica Flyers (Neil Young, Nils Lofgren, Ben Keith, Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina) at London’s Rainbow Theatre on November 5th, 1973. The first half of the concert was dedicated to songs from the album Tonight’s The Night.
