Echo Canyon runs right down the middle of 3 RAIL WORLD, splitting the layout into two parts. In the foreground is our area of concentration at the moment. Within a few weeks the first tracks will be laid!! Here’s a picture of the layout as things move forward.

Below we we see the work area in a bit more detail. Construction is going on now to create the track bed that runs down below the ground surface. It’s not a tunnel, just a place where track needs to run lower to allow another mainline track to cross over it.
The sides of this below surface track bed will be finished to create a cut rock below ground appearance. Soon Ben Young will be running trains here and this will be one of his views from trackside.
