And then came the moment that we all had the same thought at the same time. One single pure thought. There was no original stroke of genius that started with Einstein sipping a cup of espresso – which then swept across the land. Even though it happened to all of us at the same moment, it wasn’t a suddenly popular item. The thought stayed one unforgettable thought that we all had at the same moment.
Did you have a thought yesterday? Why yes. Yes I had a thought. I did too. Feels good, right. And then after this quiet conversation, which we were all having all over the Earth, we shared a look in the eye and a soft knowing laughter. People did talk about it after awhile, because the one thought that we had at the same time was still thinking in us. We were still having that one remarkable thought together. But we also share the feeling that we want to leave it alone.
Everyone is aware of it, and keeps thinking it, right? But it’s been weeks now. But everyone had the thought and it came as no surprise that this morning – did you catch this? – the government has banned our thought. Yes, an outright ban. But then, they are banning a thought that has never been expressed openly. All the security officials had the thought too, but apparently they think its a dirty thought, they have declared it Anti-American.
The secret river of our thought pours into the air, flies off cliffs like waterfalls…. the one thought that we all had at the same time comes up in music. That’s the one way that it fearlessly appears in public. There’s no pattern. The thought might suddenly come into our minds from a 5 note melody from an Alice Coltrane piano riff. The thought comes up in a musical phrase and we might find ourselves dancing with the stranger standing next to us, waiting in line for a burrito..
Now it’s been weeks of our thought living inside us, and a world of people are protecting this one thought that we all had at the same time. For now, the thought remains something that crosses our mind and we are just holding it, knowing that it must slip away to stay alive. We know now that Love has come.
