The stolen and sold say no to rich consumers who start to see.
The whites say no to ICE and the people of the earth say —
Hear the yes, yes after yes in the afternoon breeze.
Border guards say yes to genders in motion and tourists say no to jets.
Young families in flight say yes to a place and lenders say no to debts.
Fascists admit complexity. Cosmetic surgeons give their knives to time.
And everyone says no to guns and we all say “For god’s sake be kind!”
Gangs say no to drugs and churches say yes to pleasure and movies
say yes to the extras and cowboys say yes to wild horses and the cunning
say yes to one simple dream, the lonely say yes to the frontier of touching
and I say yes to everyone I meet and you say yes to everyone too and you
say yes to me and I say yes to you.
