Our train conductor Mr. Neil Young calls himself “The Old Man” but he can still sing and play guitar and keys beautifully. Neil sang a lot of love songs last night under the stars at the Santa Barbara Bowl. He had 3 pianos on stage to choose from along with a fireplace and a working train set to make it cozy. He did bring out an electric guitar for a rousing version of Ohio. It took me right back to the first time I heard that song in the 1970’s. A great show from one of the most exceptional artists of our time. He has given us so much music, so many songs. It was an 18 song set but selfishly, I wanted more. More songs, more music from Mr. Young.
Long may you run. I’m going to the Greek show on Monday!
