We have an emergency in England – need to do the right thing. The Tories started marching Earth defenders and war protesters off into jail without a jury trial, abou 173 Earth and Peace lovers banished to prisons up to 3, 4 even 5 years.
Now the new government is reducing some of those sentences but 23 still remain and my friend in the UK fear that Labor might be playing to the right-wing by stalling. They have no First Amendment in the UK
These are the people who stopped soccer games and those young women with the tomato soup and Van Gogh’s sunflowers – (they did no damage to that painting) and ALL these people are nonviolent, peaceful people now behind bars for months and months.
Neil, at the beginning of your shows in the UK, in Hyde Park or Glastonbury or both – someone should take the stage and say “We honor and are grateful to the Earth and Peace activists who have served or are serving time for all of us…”. And then READ OFF THEIR NAMES.
This will reach the dear souls sitting in cold jail cells. They will feel NOT FORGOTTEN… they will feel the warmth and their loved ones will thank you…. The word will hear the trauma and give everyone in the legal teams trying to free these souls LOVE!
We have tested this and reading the 23 names will take all of two minutes. You may immediately have an actor friend in mind. I’ll fly over if you want. Talk to your beloved trees about this! Earthalujah! If this is impossible to do don’t feel badly or pressured you know we love you.
Earthalujah!
