Hello NYA readers –
The second night in Chicago was supposed to reveal whether the first night had been a dream. “It never happened,” a bystander was overheard saying in the dark and misleadingly medieval alley behind the gorgeous and opulent Auditorium Theater. However our reporting discovered an answer… one which was not as conclusive.
Several of NYA’s most diligent, tireless, and resourceful correspondents were assigned to determine the veracity of the performance claims. Unfortunately, even their deep investigative research failed to solve this most confounding of conundrums.
It was discovered that theater, a place we tend to visit, to share, reflect and feel our common humanity, is ultimately a mere figment of imagination, ephemera, and yes, a dream perhaps, that lives only in the moment and in the memories of those who were there… or thought they were.
