We are in a state of shock. Our compassion is being cancelled. During the election we were watching the candidates ignore the families of Gaza, and after the election people throughout the world that we were helping are suddenly abandoned as a trillionaire with nazi salutes simply leaves people stranded. South African HIV sufferers stand before locked doors of clinics that no longer have funding.
Our passivity. Our lack of a response…it’s is unbelievable. We see headlines like “Democrats Try To Respond.” And in that banality there is an opportunity. In the United States we have nothing like a “Left” but now we have an invitation to enter an unclaimed space where an actual alternative is waiting for us to resist the White Nationalist Christian USA. And I’m talking about the Earth. The Earth’s current 3 year heatwave is clearly heading us toward extinction. You can’t dismiss Hurricane Helene and the Burning of Los Angeles with the vanilla of traditional “News”.
American politicians have evolved to the point where they can talk for hours without mentioning that we are bombing innocent children in Gaza. And that goes with their refusal to talk about the unprecedented changes in the Earth. Life itself is not their issue. How is it that we can’t discuss our own safety? Then it’s time to create a House of Earth Representatives, a congress where we can be honest about the crisis in our physical life. In the UK, after Clare Farrell and other leaders in the Extinction Rebellion movement began saying “We have no-one to vote for” – they called “Global Assemblies”. People of all walks of life gather to talk and gradually build a new way of governing. These assemblies have become huge. In Ireland, variations on this approach resulted in affirming women’s reproductive rights, same-sex marriage, and fracking is banned.
Trump is quite aware that he has no chance against the most powerful force, the Earth. He is combing through the government employees, a granular review of each personality, looking for any evidence of a belief in climate change. Such a person is fired immediately. He is trying to give the Earth-defenders a feeling of utter hopelessness. But we are made of the Earth. We are the Earth. Ultimately, and the day is fast approaching, the Earth’s rapid evolution away from toxic humanity is going forward with flood and fire. A bunch of billionaires can’t stop it. We all know this.
Representing the Earth will be illegal. People trying to save life will be designated terrorists. Trump will try to move the fear of Communists and illegal immigrants over to the fear of life itself. He is demonizing the Earth. We will be instructed that America will be Great Again when it is opposed to life itself. We must find a way to ignite in people a consciousness that sweeps through all of us at once. We are killing ourselves with these invented enemies. The stranger at the border. The Earth is not a stranger at the border. The Earth is life. Let the voice of the Earth speak through us, in defense of the idea that we are living on this planet. Earthalujah!
