Hello Neil,

I finished reading Shakey, by Jimmy McDonough a few months back. I really enjoyed it and at the same time, I was disappointed at how Mr. McDonough inserted his emotional judgement toward you, especially near the end of the book. He seemed to get too close to his subject. By my estimation, nobody can truly understand or know what happens within another persons’ skin and as humans we are incapable of experiencing the neuro-emotional-Spiritual reasoning which motivates others to act in their own way. It took me several months to integrate my feelings about that book. Fortunately, I’m able to separate from any judgement toward you, Shakey. I’m glad you continue to be who you are, here on this planet. I love how you continue to create and speak Truth to Power.
I’ve really gone deep, recently, absorbing several books about Bob Dylan. It appears that he had a tremendous impact on you, based on things that I’ve read. It seems that Bob Dylan and you both experienced several, similar artistic progressions and evolutions throughout the courses of your careers. Not exactly the same, but similar. Have you read and informed yourself about Bob Dylans’ musical career, over time? In honor of Bob Dylan’s 85th Birthday today, do you have any words to describe his artistic achievements and any influence he’s had on you?

I saw that you were at David Suzuki’s 90th birthday celebration in Vancouver on Friday. If you are still in the country and near Toronto on Saturday May 30th, please consider dropping in on John Wanless Public School’s 100th anniversary celebrations, from 1:00 to 4:00. Some of your old classmates from grades 7 and 8 may show up. Hope to see you there.

Now that you’re working on Vol. 4 of the Archives, how about a truly ballsy statement for the younger generation—something to make them kick back for a minute and enjoy music instead of frantically scrolling through songs? You could preview Vol. 4 with this showstopper of an album:

-Side A: Ordinary People (no overdubs)
-Side B: Sixty to Zero (full version)

Hi Neil~

It would be my honor to share a virtual Mindfulness experience with all at NYA. Thing is, it’s typically live. Sharing a previously recorded experience is not ‘appropriate,’ as discussions can be personal and would require releases.

Spirituality is a higher octave, often silent. Thankful for music.
Hoping to see Jason Mraz live as he is touring near. Wanna join me? It amazes me how so few pause and embrace moments of joy. Life is short.

Today is 7 years since my soul mate crossed. It has offered an opportunity for me to deepen my practice and awareness of this life experience. Doing it alone is interesting.
