Hi Neil!
Thanks again for the terrific show by you and the Chrome Hearts in Toronto—definitely a highlight of the year for me! Also, thanks so much for allowing NYA subscribers the opportunity to buy tickets prior to general sales. The pit is the best place to be!
I appreciated your rechristening of the Toronto venue to the Freshwater Amphitheatre! By the way, the venue has been renamed; rather than being named after a brewery, it’s now named after a bank—The RBC Amphitheatre. Hopefully you’ll be back to play there soon.
Thanks again, and happy holidays to you and Daryl.

Hi Neil,
I just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying ORS 22–25 on vinyl. In particular, what your team has done with Ragged Glory is incredible. I have the original press and this blows it away. I may be biased as it is one of my favorite albums of all time, but you have definitely unlocked something from those analog masters! My question relates to 1996’s Big Time. I have this on LP and it is one of the best sounding records I own. Truly a mesmerizing sounding LP. Do you recall anything about recording this album in regards to how you made it sound so good?
Thanks,
Scott from North Vancouver

Neil,
The credits for Ben Keith’s Christmas At The Ranch album list you as a co-producer. Did you produce just the two songs on which you appear, or did you co-produce the entire album?
Thank you,
Ben

I can’t remember. It’s a great album. Coming in vinyl next year.

Howdy Neil,
Did you see this piece on 404Media?
This quote made me think of you and Pono:
“or wanting to track down an old iPod Classic to experience their music library away from the surveillance and excess of big tech platforms.”
I feel the same. I would gladly pay for a device that’d allow me to load up my music (I buy all my music) without surveillance. I detest that Apple knows what music I listen to.
Maybe Pono was too early? I hope you and your crew will kick around the thought of Pono2.
All love brother,
Paul

Hello Neil! I hope you had a great holiday season! As a college student, the emotional depth and relatability of your music has gotten me through some hard times. I recently saw your Hollywood Bowl concert and was pleasantly surprised to hear that “Long Walk Home” from Life was back in the setlist. I love the Life album (especially Around the World!), I was curious what made you decide to revisit it in 2025.
Much love,
Noah

Tonight, I smoked a joint and drank three shots of delicious bourbon. Then I went to my front porch and plugged in my old 10-year-old Sennheiser HD 600 headphones. (I have never found a better sounding set.) I plugged them into my Pono and cranked up the volume to maximum. I then opened a folder called “Neil Young\Year Of The Horse” … And selected “Barstool Blues.” Ralph is up there with Bonham and Starr in my opinion. You cannot listen to the song with a buzz and not lean your head back, close your eyes, and tap your foot uncontrollably. Takes you to another time and place. No troubles, no pain, just the music.
Thank you, Neil, for many hours of escape.
P.S.
I have only seen you three times, and all of the shows were amazing!
I love ralph’s playing!
So glad we are here.
