AUSTRALIA

Australia
From my last letter an your reply
“G’day everyone at NYA,

Now Neil, just heard the announcement of the Euro tour (BTW the UK is part of Europe). Does this mean us Aussies have missed out again? Doesn’t seem fair. You toured there last year while it’s been 12 years (2013) since you been on our shores.

What will it take to get you to come here? Bribes, flowers, free koalas?

Love your music Be Well Love

You can travel by bus.

UDINE

Hello Neil,

Just got two tickets for the show in Udine at the Villa Manin. My wife’s from Italy so we’re both really looking forward to it. In fact, one of her best friends is from that area and says the venue is great. Better yet, it’s a rare chance to go there in summer when her friends and family will have more free time.

I’d also like to second another fan’s request for a show in Madrid at the Jardines del Botánico or anywhere in Spain for that matter. I understand it’s probably in your agent’s hands but it’s a lovely venue.

“Ci vediamo” in Italy!
Brian & Lorella

p.s. we attended your show at the Shoreline and must say it was one of the best shows ever. Your songs are more relevant than ever and speak to what’s going down. Peace and love, brother.

Thanks Brian and Lorella
See you in Udine!

LIVE ALBUMS

Hi Neil,

I saw someone recently asked you about the rusted out garage release and that got me thinking of other live albums that could get released in the future. With the next installment of the archives spanning through the 90s is it possible to release a ‘93 booker t and mgs live album or solo ‘99 album? Would love to hear them on vinyl.

Happy holidays,
Nicky

Nicky,
We have some on the Timeline and will be adding others.

HIGH PRICES

Hey Neil,

Hello again from the stormy PNW. First, happy holidays to you and yours! Please don’t take this message the wrong way, but I think you’re missing the point with regards to letters about ticket prices. We all know that Ticketmaster and their associated fees are a problem, but at the end of the day you (or your management) are setting the base ticket price. I’m now at a place in my life where I can afford a higher ticket price, but back when I was just starting to see you in concert it would have been a lot tougher. I’m not saying you’re not worth the money, but when you price tickets so high you’re pricing out a lot of folks. I’d argue that, if you set ticket prices lower, you’d sell out your shows in a lot more markets. I think you would have had no problem selling at least 75 percent of the Gorge tickets last year if lawn seats hadn’t been almost 100 dollars.

Just one fan’s perspective. I went to quite a few shows this year and by far yours were the most expensive (and I had a great time at each one!) Hope to see you again next year for the going rate:)

Regards,
KJ

Thanks KJ for your reflections.
I will copy my agent on your letter.

NEW MUSIC

Dear Neil,
With the full moon returning to the skies approximately every 29.38 days, you will be experiencing your 1000th full moon in fall of 2026 (September or October, depending on the phase of the moon at your birth). Could be a good time to reflect and record some new music?

Regards,
Drake

Drake
Yes it would!
Hopefully soon.

HEALTH

Hi Neil~

I hope all is well. I am curious about your thoughts on the changes and revelations by RFK in the Health department.

I am currently reading Bitten, as I have Lyme and AGS, as part of my personal PhD program. Alpha Gal Syndrome (AGS) is a tick-borne illness that causes the human to have allergic reactions to any meat or meat byproducts. Symptoms can vary person to person, from mild to severe, as the body goes into anaphylactic shock due to an allergic reaction. Treated improperly, it can lead to death. The challenge of this is that many of the medications to assist have meat byproducts—gelatin, magnesium stearate and lactose, hence keeping the body in a high histamine state. AGS is considered rare. I think it is rarely tested for, and few doctors are trained to treat and guide patients. Or I am a rare human. So thankful for my Mindfulness practice as I navigate this.

I have found an MD who specializes in Lyme and co-infections. She does not take insurance and recommends high quality supplements, which are also not covered by insurance. I also want to add complementary healing practices—massage, salt rooms, sauna, which are also not covered by insurance.

You’ve known me for many moons. This experience only deepens my desire to assist others who are quietly suffering and confused. Mindfulness will not fix a chronic illness; however, it is another complementary healing practice, that is ALWAYS available and FREE.

I ponder if I could converse with RFK. Part of me wants to sue. The other part wants to raise awareness, facilitate change and offer hope. Angel donor….
I am offering my free 30-minute virtual experience on Mindfulness once a month now. Next up, 12/20/25 at 10 am (EST). I also want to offer focus groups. Mindfully navigated chronic disease and Embracing Mindfulness to prevent burnout for teachers and healthcare folks.

As always, thank you for taking the time to read my words.

Much love,
Linda

Thanks Linda
Have your tried a doctor of Functional Medicine? Read about it. May be a way forward.

FB

There are at least two pages on Facebook that are lying PROFUSELY about you: mostly that you are donating money, but sometimes you are ill, and other times maybe you and your wife release music together. The two sites I know about are Music Explorer and Sonic Union. I have reported both to FB, but nothing changes. I thought maybe you should know….

I don’t go to FB ever.
More important things to experience in this life.
I do not believe any of that.

EUROPE TOUR IDEAS

Hi Neil, great to see that you and the Chrome Hearts are coming back to Europe. I know you’ve been to Berlin last year and many times before and you’re really fond of the Waldbühne. But maybe if there’s a spare date on the next run I can encourage you and your agents to take a look at the Parkbühne Wuhlheide. Lovely space in the forest in the eastern part of Berlin. Something that might interest you is the Parkeisenbahn, a train operated by kids and teens and surely a nice way to get to the stage. See you next year.

All the best and greeting from Berlin,
Micha

Thanks, Will keep this in mind for the future.

BOOKER T – MGs

Hey Neil—

I was lucky enough to catch your 1993 tour with Booker T. & The MGs outside Chicago … my first time seeing you in concert. What a show! With the passing of the great Steve Cropper I was reminded of that tour’s arrangement of Separate Ways with Steve providing a beautifully soulful & elegant lead guitar. The band was so good and I just remember having a lot of fun that night with your great music. When I finally heard the version released so many years later on Homegrown I was blown away with how different the studio arrangement was vs. how it wound up in concert. So different but equally great in their own ways.

Anyway, loved that show, so if you have a quick recollection of that tour or the band or Steve/Duck/Booker T. it would be great to hear about it.

Thanks & hope all’s well,
Andrew

SLEEPS WITH ANGELS

Hey Neil,

Sat here listening to ‘Sleeps with Angels’ on vinyl. Man, it sounds as great now as it did when I was 14. I cashed in a couple weeks of paper delivery wages to buy this one on CD. Kurt’s passing hit me hard and it was only when I listened to this album that I knew other people felt what a loss it was. Nobody else in the world I lived in even noticed.

Thanks for everything, Neil. Seasons come, seasons go, good friends and old both disappear, family has struggled and thrived. Through it all, these songs have been with me and I just wanted you to know I’m grateful.

love and only love,
Ben

Thanks Ben

I do feel it and appreciate it!

RAMADA INN

Ramada Inn Live?

Echoing another writer from a few weeks ago, I wanted to second how hauntingly beautiful of a song Ramada Inn is. From the first time I heard that opening chord it’s stuck with me. The story told is bleak, but the song is so sweeping and majestic. Any chance it works its way back into the live rotation for Europe 2026?

Thanks!
