Re: European tour 2026/covers.
Hi Neil/Daryl,
Hope you are both enjoying a lovely peaceful Christmas and New Year break.
I am beyond excited to be seeing you again (number 14) at the start of the tour in Manchester.( l was at Hyde Park earlier this year, which was a superb performance.)
I had a letter published in the Archives, giving reasons l was hoping Powderfinger could make it into the set; it didn’t, but then it turned up in the States. Please please for Powderfinger, an awesome song.
In celebration of your 80th birthday there was plenty of cover versions of your songs on radio and in free CDs in Rock magazines.
Neil (apart from Nicolette’s version of “Lotta Love,” which l assume you have a soft spot for) do you have a particular favourite cover version of one of your songs?
Ken( Liverpool)
No Ken,
No real favorites. I am just happy people feel like doing them!

Hello Neil, is it an idea to give subscribers like me a member’s number based on when they joined NYA and what kind of membership? Could be fun😄

Thanks for the suggestion, but we will not be doing this right now

Hiya Neil and team,
Happy holidays!
In the spirit of being sustainable and loving Earth I’m disappointed at the amount of plastic crap Warner Brothers sell in the Greedy Hand Store such as mug, belt buckle etc. The carbon footprint to get that type of stuff sent over to where I am in South Australia is massive and we all know the issues with plastic and other materials that are tricky to reuse and recycle.
Anyways just wanted to bring it to your attention.
Looking forward to 2026!
Thank you for your concerns. We actually don’t sell any plastic products in the store. The mug is 100% ceramic and belt buckle is metal. The packaging for apparel and the belt buckle is a thin polybag with a barcode label, but it should be a very minimal amount of plastic. Those bags are a requirement for sanitary/safety reasons and so that the items can be properly sorted by our distribution warehouse. The packaging for the mug is a cardboard box that is made from 100% recycled material.
Hi
I hope Mr Young considers re-issuing the song OHIO with current turmoil in mind

Hi Neil. I hope you had a nice Christmas with your loved ones.
Thanks for sharing the recording of the famous show with CH at Cincinnati in 1970. It was fabulous show and it’s a great recording.
It got me thinking about the earliest performance of ‘Down By The River.’ According to the Sugar Mountain site, it was on 01/28/1969 at Ottawa, Ontario, likely a solo acoustic version.
The first band version appears to have been on 02/13/1969 at The Bitter End in NY.
Do you have any recordings of these performances? Any chance you could share the earliest recorded version of DBTR?
I hope all is well chez Young. Happy new year to you from me and mine.

Thanks Sean
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere was recorded on 1/17/69.
The first live performance was solo at Le Hibou in Ottawa on 1/28/69. No tapes.
We have recordings from 2/8 & 2/9/69 at The Riverboat.
These are unreleased and not included in the Vol 1 Riverboat CD.
The first Crazy Horse performance was 2/13/69 at The Bitter End.
CSNY at Fillmore East is 9/20/69.
The first Crazy Horse live recording we have is Cincinnati Music Hall 2/25/70 and that show was put on the Timeline two weeks ago.
NYCH at Fillmore East was 3/7/70 and released.
We think CSNY at the Fillmore East is a great version of the song.

Dear Shakey;
Kindly request a screening of “Coastal” in the Hearse theater from a day one NYA subscriber. I’m sorry I missed it earlier this year in the cinema.
Thank you kindly,
Happy New Year, J
*We are working on it and will have an update in the next two weeks

Hi Neil,
Just a quick little note to express my admiration for your New Years Eve words ”coming together in a positive light.’ It fits into the ‘Light a Candle …’ theme, which I greatly admire. Cursing the darkness is so rampant now.
I’m always amazed at the hateful comments and snide remarks some people make and then sign off with ‘Love and Only Love.’ Makes me think love must only apply to those who share the same views.
I hope more people take your words to heart. Would definitely make for a better world.
With Love,
Mary Jane
Thanks Mary Jane
Much appreciate your sentiment……
I woke up at 4 am on New years day and added that to the site, removing the negative story i had just posted.

Happy new year ’26 to you all there at NYA. Enjoyed HomeTown in The Hearse more than ever. There’s always more to notice and appreciate. This time: the great set list, the interaction with the particular instruments and the laid-back-stuff-happens pacing and warm mood.
Thanks for playin’ it again.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for all the beautifully remastered releases you’ve provided us.
One comment though.
The European version of Tonight’s the Night 50 is pressed on such thin vinyl (120 grams?) that at least my copy is warped like hell. I bought it from a small local brick and mortar store called Keravan Ääni ja Levy. Being such a small business, I don’t want to take it back because that would be their loss.
My point is that I’ve gotten used to the pretty good quality of your releases so far. Of course there have been some bad releases, more recently than before.
I’ll be 69 next April, and I have a long experience of how imperfect this LP/vinyl business can be.
Despite what I wrote above,
Best regards and Happy New Year 2026,
Matti Saari
P.S. We here in Finland look forward to your next visit.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for your letter. Sorry you had a problem with your album purchase.
You should be able to return or exchange it at the local record store where you bought it, and they should be able to return it to their distributor so they won’t have to absorb the loss.
Also, just to let you know, we also double-checked with the pressing plants and confirmed that these pressings are 140 grams.
Unfortunately, as you know, defects happens and LPs do warp sometimes. Sorry that it happened to you with this release
Hi Neil~
Happy 2026!! I appreciate your suggestion of a Functional Medicine doctor, trust me I have looked and there a few in the area. It blows my mind that there are not more doctors trained in treating Lyme and the co-infections. I do think that RKF hosted a thoughtful roundtable on Lyme in December. I am feeling hopeful.
Lyme treatment is expensive and is not covered by insurance as it includes supplements, and requires other complementary healing practices such as acupuncture, halo therapy, sauna, massage, every body is different and there is no ‘magic pill’. When I return to work, I am hopeful that our organization will allow me to assist in educating doctors on our staff.
Santa brought me a Gibbon Slack Board. It’s super fun and helps with core strength and balance. Check it out. Lots and lots of love to you, yours and all at NYA as we embark on this New Year.
As always, thank you for taking your time to ready my words.
Much love,
Linda
Thanks Linda!
