Dear Neil and Archives Crew,
When coming down from Yellowknife in the summer of 1996 I acquired a tape, maybe in Dawson Creek, that had “Sleeps With Angels” on it. Southward bound through the Frazer Valley for Vancouver that was the only music besides AM radio that I had to listen to and I did, over and over.
Later I learnt that there was a video by J. Demme called “Complex Sessions” which documented the studio work. Are the tracks on this video those that were released on vinyl or CD? And, if not, wouldn‘t they justify a SRS release, maybe with the acoustic track missing from “Dead Man” thrown in for good measure?
Thank you for turning down the idea of one Norwegian friend to have subscribers numbered. I would not like to be a number (“numbers add up to nothing”). However, I am pleased to know that Judy Greenberg with whom I had been in contact on a few NYA related occasions was the very first subscriber. I believe she was a warm-hearted person and that’s something in a world that seems to heat up physically and freezing socially at the same time.

Thank you for posting the lost dogs show from 1989. I could be extremely wrong, but it seems like you just had renewed bigger during that period and the records freedom, and the blue notes, we’re just fantastic and the show shows themselves are fantastic and your solo acoustic shows that year. Hopefully they’ll get a wider release, but this one show from the lost dogs. It seems like you were in mellow, good spirits. Continued health to you sir and happy new year. Hello Neil,
I just checked my collection: 112 records of yours, but I cannot say I’m a just die-hard fan. I mean, yes, I am of course, but I believe I understood your way to make music that slowly, over the years, made me into music.
So this is the story: I’ve been a guitar player for 30 years, and then this summer something happened—I started writing songs, lyrics and music, recorded in my home studio with overdubbed guitars (yes, I have a D45 and it helps a lot!!). To this day, I have 20 of songs in demo version. I tried to upload them in the Flow, but it doesn’t work yet … so I opened a YouTube channel to share: @Gianluca-m4z
