BRIDGE SCHOOL BENEFIT
Hi
Could we please have some more Bridge School Benefit concert films uploaded? I’d like to see the 2007 ones in particular. It’s been a while since the last upload.
Best wishes,
George.
Thanks George
Each Bridge concert prep takes a lot of work and we are getting to it. When we put it up it will sound and look good.

BIOFUELS
NYA-
Interesting reviews and analysis of Biofuels in latest issue of One Earth:
“Biofuels remain a key contributor to a low-carbon future, particularly with respect to decarbonizing transportation systems. However, crafting high-quality, energy-dense biofuels remains a formidable challenge due to competition for land, the chemical complexity of biomass, and the absence of advanced catalytic processes. This month’s issue of One Earth dives into the sustainable biofuel challenge, from innovative electro-biomanufacturing and cutting-edge catalytic breakthroughs to biotechnological advances in algae-based biofuels.

MOUNTAIN VIEW REQUESTS
Neil,
Long time, listener first time caller. Looking forward to Mountain View, especially reading that you have been playing Ambulance Blues on this tour. I play that song followed by Motion Pictures and Through My Sails to my dog every night when I get home work, hoping to be able to tell him I heard the real deal.
Thanks for everything,
Hey now,

Thanks, WE WILL SEE…..

ALLIANZ AMPHITHEATER
3 August 2025
Hi Neil, Daryl, and other tour members,
While exploring the area surrounding the new Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond for next Sunday’s show, checking out parking (yes, I’m that old), I realized what a setting this is. The new venue is within walking distance of Jefferson Davis’s still-venerated grave and just upriver from Ancarrow’s Landing, site of enslaved people being led to market. What a place to sing “Southern Man.” Count the confederate flags you see between Charlotte and Richmond!
Varina Plantation is located 10 miles downriver from the spot where legend has it Pocahontas lived with John Rolfe. Finally, the venue is close to the former Virginia State Penitentiary at Spring Street, the site of “Ole Sparky”; I’m not sure if you have a song for that.
Best wishes for stress-free reentry into the country. We’re looking forward to another amazing show, once we figure out parking!
Love,
Carol Evans
Thanks Carol
WE LOVE THIS NEW PLACE TO PLAY

REVERB
Hi Neil,
On the European tour, I saw the reverb tank with the springs from the Fender Spring Reverb placed on top of the Magnaton amp. It was resting on a foam pad. On previous tours, the reverb springs were attached to a microphone stand behind the amps. What’s the reason for this change?

THRASHER
Thrasher in the Hearse from an Orpheum. This rendition starts rough yet reins in quick and flies. Still haven’t checked recent set lists, but I saw you mentioned the title. Sweet choice.
“When I make a mistake I just cheer for myself” (something like that, from Hometown. I get it). Today is my son’s birthday. So Grateful. Cheers to your next leg. We’re glad to have you-all out there and for all our chances available and taken.
Merci.

ZORRO RANCH
Dearest Neil,
My name is Thomas Campbell (Stage name Buddha Tav). I’m a 28-year-old reggae/ hip-hop artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. My momma raised me on your music and you’ve inspired me so much along the way of my musical journey. I recently released a song about the corruption that is taking place within this current administration, as well as shedding light on Trump’s involvement with Epstein. It’s in the same realm of artistry as your song Southern Man and I’ve faced many challenges that you have while releasing it. People have a hard time accepting the truth and I can see that clearly now. The song is titled “Zorro Ranch (Star Spangled Spell).”
I live an hour away from one of Epstein’s properties and the subject hits close to home, literally. The song is dedicated to all of the victims tortured by the hands of the world’s elite. I’ve sent a couple of emails to Bernie Sanders about performing this song live at his events and have gotten no response. Recently I watched “A Complete Unknown,” Bob Dylan’s story of becoming who he is today. It inspired me to write this letter, and seeing that you had an option to reach you directly warmed my heart. Many artists my age don’t want to write songs about truth at the level that I’m seeking. It’s just “feel good” music to satisfy the flesh. My song is aimed to hit the spirit, and the responses that I have gotten are astounding.
If you could listen to it and give me your honest opinion it would mean the world to me. I have a ticket to see you in Denver this September on what will be the third anniversary of me surviving a gunshot wound to the chest. I was performing live on stage and there was an altercation outside of the venue. A man started shooting and I was hit by a stray bullet an inch away from my heart and lung. I’ve listened to your music since I can remember, and the nurses gave me a nickname “Heart of Gold.” Ever since I got a second chance at life I’ve dedicated myself to spreading light and change for the better of mankind through my music. I hope you see that in the artistry of my lyrics if you get the chance to listen to the song. I’ve attached the link below but will also provide the correct spelling to search on YouTube if the link doesn’t work somehow.
Much love and appreciation to you, Neil. Thank you for being you. The world needs more poets, lyricists, activists, and patriots such as yourself. The torch is in great hands.
Sincerely,
Thomas Campbell
I will listen Thomas…..

ROBBIE
Dear Neil,
I love your tribute in the Times- Contrarian on August 19th, 2023 to Robbie Robertson, who was a great musician and songwriter.
I took a class in my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Canada. It was an amazing class and I learned about a distinct group of wonderful people.
We had to write a paper on a First Nations person of Canada, and I chose to write my paper on you. The professor wasn’t sure if you had Indigenous roots or not, so she suggested that I write my paper on Robbie Robertson. I did not know who he was, but when I heard his music, I recognized his songs. Some amazing artists sure have come from Canada.
When viewing the song Helpless played with The Band, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful connection between you and Rick Danko during that song. The elation and admiration that he had for you during that song was so apparent that I thought that “I get it, I really, really get it” and it is something to treasure!!!
And Robbie Robertson was pretty darn cool too!!
Love,
Bobbie
Thanks BOBBIE
