BRUSSELS
Hello, Neil, thanks a lot for your concert in Brussels—we travelled there for it, my daughter (21) and I (65). We both love your music, me since I first heard the Needle and the Damage Done, and she—well, all her life really! We were both at Hyde Park in 2019 too and so glad of the chance to repeat in 2025. (And sorry to hear we’ll likely miss Thrasher live in America!).
Enjoying the insight into your punishing tour schedule from Coastal and your blog. Thanks for being the one and only Neil—long may you run!

Thanks Uma
Glad you both were there together!

GREATEST HITS
Windy,
Greatest Hits Tour surely not!
Not one song from talkin to the trees
Bottle OF LOVE wow great song too short
Dark Mirage wall of sound shrieking anger and passion love that
The song list for tour was a great selection but you always used to sneak in cuts from most recent recording.
I continue to hope you may visit NZ and Australia even as we are under attack from USA.
There must be in the vaults jam sessions with the horse NO words to release to listen in the car.
Long roads in Australia plenty of time to listen.
Any new material in the works apart from tour LP?
I think my wife Maryann is sick of hearing me sing your songs on my D-28 even though she says that guitar sounds nice.
Keep rockin
I know you like to rock
well rock down to Oz Land soon
take a vacation down here in northern winter
maybe a residency at Sydney Opera House in the concert hall.
We have never had solo Neil down here, feel we missed a lot as we are too far away but some shows there would be undeniably great. Bob did Graham did!!
As you must know you as a artist is a great inspiration for me to just keep going I hope I can 68 now.
When I mention to people I am a big fan, most people say yeh he’s great Harvest was fantastic. I quickly remind them there is so much more music of Neil’s.
Well buddy I agree some of your songs move me and thats all I can say.
you played in Coffs Harbour in the eighties at the Showgrounds. I was there I live there now.
You miss the old ranch?
Hawaii?

REEL TO REEL
Hi Neil-
Just chiming in on the subject of 1970 Crazy Horse live records that Guillaume asked about. There is a 7.5″ reel-to-reel of Cincinnati Music Hall from 2/25/70 somewhere. You may have used it to source “It Might Have Been” from Vol 1. I know it’s not multitrack and not ideal, but it would be cool to have it on the timeline as a record of the times. Better than the YouTube version, I’d guess.
Thanks!
Omar

SQUIRES GRETSCH
Sharp-eyed friends noticed your crew tuning up your Springfield orange Gretsch before the Bergen show. We don’t see that guitar very often. The last time I saw it was during the 2012 Buffalo Springfield reunion tour. What songs would you play on that guitar in this era?
Thanks,
Tom
Tom, that was my SQUIRES Gretsch, which I recently located. We were getting it ready for something but we didn’t do it.

MALAHIIDE
Dear Neil,
A very belated thank you for the Malahide show last month! One of the best gigs that I’ve ever had the pleasure of being at.
Any chance we’ll get a recording from the European tour on the Timeline?

ITALY
Hello from oldcoyote
What a wonderful trip!
I started the tour with my wife in Dublin in the rain and continued with my friends in a minivan, visiting Brussels, Groningen, Berlin, and Mönchengladbach. They were wonderful days, spent first with my beloved wife and then with my wonderful friends.Thank you for everything you played for us on those fabulous rock evenings… we look forward to seeing you soon in our wonderful Italy.
Ciao
See you there

PINE KNOB
Hi Neil,
A year ago, I got a magical gift: seeing you and The Horse ride again from the front row at Pine Knob. It was a dream come true, since I’d been collecting your music since I was 8 or 9. Now, coming up on my sixteenth birthday, seeing you play at Pine Knob again, this time with the Chrome Hearts, is an incredible gift. I was especially ecstatic reading your travelogues and seeing you were enjoying playing “Ambulance Blues” for the first time in a while, which is my all time favorite song. I hope to hear it soon, whether in Detroit during the Summer of Democracy or on that live Chrome Hearts album you mentioned.
I also had a question about Archives Volume 3, which I have been enjoying quite a lot. Do you have any plans to release “After Berlin” or any other songs/recordings that didn’t make the cut as outtakes here on NYA, like you did with Volume 2?
Thanks for the memories and Love Earth,
Jacob
Hey Jacob
We will see you at Pine Knob again! We will be releasing After Berlin, in vinyl, and are working on it right now. There will be outtakes
See u there!

SIGNAL TO NOISE
THE OLD LAUGHIN LADY
Hi Neil
In spite of all the noise these days, your signal is stronger than the noise. Ive got friends I’ve known since the seventies meeting me in Charlotte. We will be in the pit and early because we love Rev. Billy and his choir. Even though it’s not really polite to make a request if there is any way to bring in the Old Laughing Lady to help start this leg it might help turning up the signal and wipe out the noise.
peace
Billy
We may be playing that one Billy.
We’ll see!

AUSTRALIA
G’day Neil
We miss you down here in Australia, and I know we’re far away but we would so love to see you again. In the meantime, your live albums and videos have really kept us company.
I feel lucky to have seen you three times, twice with the Horse, once with your Electric Band. The MASSIVE SOUND of Crazy Horse was astonishing, I’ll never forget that feeling. I remember staring at Ralphie and thinking “how is he DOING that?”
Thanks for the soul and the music.
All the best,
Elias

ONE OF THESE DAYS
Listening to Harvest Moon as I did back in 1992 early in the morning. Specifically the song One of these Days I always wondered whether you wrote that letter to all of your friends. Back in time when I listened to that album every morning for three months straight with my then 6-year-old son. Still my favorite album along with EKTIN, RNS.
Hope to be playing ‘one of these days’ in the next leg of the tour

TALKIN TO THE TREES
Hi Neil, “Talkin to the Trees” might be my favorite record of yours since “Psychedelic Pill,” and I’m surprised that the release has been fairly low-key. Is there a reason you’ve decided not to do press or release a film from the sessions?
Thanks,
Marc
No reason in particular Marc. I love the record and there are no videos. Just focused on the music

COWGIRL
Hi Neil,
Had the thrill of a lifetime seeing you perform in Monchengladbach, Germany especially when you changed the set list and played Cowgirl in the Sand. Love being present for these “surprises.” I really loved the Early Daze CD and was delighted by the inclusion of Danny Whitten’s Look at All the Things, which I could listen to “Over and Over.” Do you think you might dedicate the song solo or with the Chrome Hearts during your tour of the US? Just “Wondering.”

EUROPA GRAFFITI
Hi Neil,
I hope you are enjoying your rest between tours or maybe you are putting together a terrific ‘Europa Graffiti” album of the touring you just did! … I sure hope so.
I really enjoyed following your Daily Journal entries of the European tour … just as you saw things out of the windows of your bus.
I look forward to your Richmond concert (cooler weather, let’s hope!) and some ‘Talkin’ to the Trees’ songs.
Keep riding that Silver Eagle

Any update on release for ORS #6 and/or Greendale Acoustic? Both were mentioned as upcoming releases in the past.

SONG OF THE DAY
Hi Neil, Daryl and Crew!
Checking in from Ohio where we’re a little battle fatigued from constant rain and floods … and launching into planning our escape to Cuyahoga Falls in just a few short weeks for your show! I’ve been exploring the archives, following the tour and reading up. I’m most intrigued at the HOME-GROWN Concessions. I have to eat super healthy (gluten hates my guts, literally) and I am not used to options being available … I love the whole concept and hope to see them at Blossom Music Center.
Curious fact: the song of the day on NYA usually reflects my general mood that day. You’ve developed the emotional algorithm!
Much love and please be safe out there!
