BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD
Hey Neil,
Have a great picture of a Buffalo-Springfield steamroller I think you might like. It’s in my town and has been parked in the same spot for many moons. I have been meaning to get you the picture for a while and finally got around to it. Here the the pictures of a couple lifelong Rusties. it’s just something I really think you’d get a kick out of.
Take care
Peter
Thanks Peter
Nice picture!

ALOHA
Aloha Neil,
As a NY devotee since 1968 (at age 11), I had a brother seven years older who influenced my music and introduced me to, among others, YOU, who has been my favorite!
I always thought you should do a tour where you introduce every song with the story of how it was developed and written, like the way you have explained “Old Man” and of course “OHIO”!
If you were to do it, you will have to make the Big Island of Hawaii a stop, since I retired and moved to Keauhou in January from Bayonne, NJ!
Mahalo!

Hey Paul
Enjoy the Big Island! I did.

ON BROADWAY
Neil, brother …
‘Eldorado’ is the album of the week! How timely! I’ve been loving my substantially large collection of Restless/Lost Dogs bootlegs from that era lately! The energy Chad and Rick deliver backing you up is Absolutely Raw!
I was just looking at the lyrics to On Broadway on NYA, and I noticed you left out the last few lines. Those lines seal the deal:
[Outro]
On Broadway
On Broadway
Gimme that crack
Gimme some of that crack
Gimme that crack
Ahhh
Broadway
You’ve posted a show from later in the tour in Australia on the Timeline, but perhaps you can post the February 21, 1989 show from Seattle. It has it all! For the Turnstiles, The Ways Of Love, the first performance of Rockin’ In the Free World, all of ‘Eldorado,’ 12-minute Mr. Soul … what a gem!
Peace out,
Shawn

We will post it soon on the timeline.

ADD PLASTIC
Neil, just picked up copies of the 50th anniversary additions of Time Fades Away and On the Beach—you should consider investing in adding plastic to the paper sleeves because just paper alone creates a lot of static when trying to pull the record out of the sleeve and can damage the vinyl.
Also, bust out On the Beach on tour, song could resonate to a lot of us today … “the world is turning, I hope it don’t turn away”
The world is turnin……

GLASTONBURY
Hey Neil,
I wish you well for all your European dates. Sadly I am on an anti-cancer maintenance drug that makes being in huge crowds impossible. I live about 10 miles from Glastonbury so I hope you play loud enough for me to hear! You must be bored playing Down by the River, but I never get bored with hearing it—well, that’s my request. Hope BBC show it too.
I’ve loved your music since 1972 and what a ride it is! I’ve met some great folks along the way.
Happy Trails
Steve (Somerset, UK)
Hey STEVE
PEACE bro.
Be well!!!

THE WORLD NEEDS YOU
The US needs you. The world needs you.
Time for a support concert for human rights, civil rights, constitutional rights and judicial rights for our immigrants.
LA is the beginning. The protesters need a vehicle & voice to communicate their concerns.
Thanks for being such a guiding light to so many for so long. Here to help in any way.
…
Want to add to my note yesterday. While I envision a world concert to protest Donald Trump and his attack on immigrants and our democracy, if that is not realistic, perhaps there is a lower level. The people need a voice one way or another. The street is the only option right now.
What if we rented stadiums, recruited bands, speakers and other talent. That would draw the public. Then give the stage to the right folks to make important points. This will get national TV coverage. This will be effective. Can happen in a different city each night.
Happy to help as much as I can. I am capable.

Hey Tim

OVERSTORY
Neil,
Have you heard of, or read, The Overstory by Richard Powers? It won the Pulitzer for fiction in 2019. I just finished it. While reading, I kept thinking about connections to your songs and albums, especially on the verge of Talkin’ to the Trees being released.
Just a quick reading recommendation! Cheers. See you in Cleveland this summer!
Aaron
Thanks Aaron

NUGGETS OF PEACE
Hi Neil~
As you travel abroad, please bring home some nuggets of peace. And, any curiosity. I’m a bit concerned by the peace pulse in our nation and wonder how our shift is perceived by the rest of the world. Below is something I penned.
Much love,
Linda
Over the past two weeks, how many moments of peace, joy and contentment have you experienced?
Not all; Several days; More than half the days; or Nearly every day?
In my humble opinion, peace is the only solution to our current times. Peace begins within you and spreads to others. You can learn how to experience more peace in your life by learning the practice of Mindfulness*. It’s an ancient practice which has brought peace over the centuries to many nations. The power is in the people.
*Mindfulness is a Westernized interpretation of yoga and Buddhism (JKZ) and is primarily focused upon one’s pranayama. It is scientifically recognized as a method to build the prefrontal cortex of the brain, creating a kinder, more compassionate and conscious human.
Linda
PEACE! to you
I experience Peace every day….
But that’s not all…..

BRIAN WILSON
Hi Neil,
Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about the death of Brian Wilson. He was such a musical genius. He was also an inspiration to those with mental health issues.
My two most favorite Beach Boys albums are Pet Sounds and Smile. Brian created both of those masterpieces. I send out my condolences to Brian’s family and friends.
Christopher
I do too Christopher

CHICAGO MEMORIES
Dear Neil,
My name is Bobbie, and I’ve been a true fan of yours since I was about 11 or 12 years old. I’m 65 now. That means I’ve been listening to you, admiring you, and loving your music for more than 50 years.
I have a very fond memory that I would love to share with you.
You played at the Chicago Auditorium on November 15th, 1976 and my best friend Nancy and I attended the concert, I was seventeen.
We snuck backstage after the concert, or begged the security guard to let us go back there. I had a four-leaf clover for you, it was in a small box with mud and all waiting for you. I believe that you waved at us upon entering your bus.
This was a huge moment for us!!!!
P.S. I have a relative stuck over in Tel Aviv that can use your prayers!!
P.P.S. Here is a photograph of me hula-hoop dancing to Cowgirl in the Sand.
Much love peace and luck,
Bobbie McWilliams – Leesley
Thanks Bobbie

ADD PLASTIC
Hi Neil,
I’m looking forward to your concert in Dalhalla, Sweden next week.
I have been listening to new album, there you have a superb song LET’S ROLL AGAIN. It will be one of your classics. I have already listened to it dozen of times and love the lyrics, as all of my friends.
So, can you please play it? I know you will rock the place with it.
Thanks in advance
Hans Lindh
Thanks Hans!
We did not play it, but we probably will in the tour…..

THANKFUL
Hi Neil,
“Thankful” for this new album today, I needed something like this to distract from all the nonsense happening in the world right now.
What a beauty of an album and band, can’t wait to see you down by the lake in Toronto this summer.
Hope your European trip is a blast!
Thanks!
Peterborough Terry.
Thanks Terry
