CHORUS EFFECT

Was listening to A Treasure today and watched some of the Austin City Limits show too.
There is a very clear ‘chorus’ effect on your electric guitar sound on songs such as Down by the River, Flying on the Ground … and Are you Ready for the Country.
Did you use the BF-1 to get that effect or did you use a different chorus pedal?

I don’t USUALLY use ‘chorus’ on those songs. I normally would not. But i listened and it is there. Don’t know what it is……….

Any update on when the Mirrorball concert at Dublin RDS will be released? I was at the gig and heard rumours last year the audio of the concert was coming. But no news since. Really hoping it will be soon.

HARD TO FOLLOW
Big disappointment corp not being brave enough to come to Kyiv cheer fans there with Free Ukraine. I’m NorCal native who has visited Ukraine three times, in 2022, and there for few days’ visit now to assess mood. Folks are despondent about Trump attitude, but not angry at American people.
Actually, pretty hard to imagine American rockstar and audience getting bombed. Ukrainians and Russians both love classic rock, and Southern Man and other hits would go over well in an open-air amphitheater near the Motherland statue and Kyiv-Pechersk Lavar Monastery. Putin goes after civilian architecture, not Soviet-era statues and historic Slavic culture dating back to days when Moscow didn’t exist.
Forget about bomb shelter for crew. Not needed because probability of injury from air attack is so low anyway. Lighten your crew to those willing leave Trump America and to take risk to learn something new. Then let the Ukrainian hosts fill in. Maybe bring Steve Wozniak along.
The recent missiles that hit ground in region were actually on perimeter neighborhood, and I’m certain the Ukraine army is acting to fill in that weak spot in otherwise excellent air defense system over the capital.
Have fun in Sweden anyway. Please don’t try to destroy the California automaker that makes zero emissions vehicles better than the rest.

KENT STATE
Today, May 4th, is the 55th anniversary of the shootings at Kent State.
Ohio including the line, “how many more?”
I can’t imagine any of you thought it was anything but a question for the short term. As in how many more would die because of the Vietnam War, or how many more would die using the freedoms that were supposedly being fought for.
Yet here we are today, 55 years later. Are any of us naive enough to believe that something like Kent State couldn’t happen again, that the government would turn “tin soldiers” on its own citizens?
It’s a scary thought.

So far as I can think of it, who isn’t schizo-affective? Bipolar. Depressed, anxious, or in a psychosis. There is in CBT one’s self, and love and fear. To be high, to feel low. Lows are low, stress is exhausting, and love is a craze getting faded. You can’t imagine the letters of a stoic, to say I am the drunkard, behold; that what you should not be. DON”T MISS THE THIRD ALBUM
I have my third album coming out tomorrow. If I put out more I’m a gambling man. I know the recordings and performance are shit, but it can stand up to many albums. Please do what you can to generate press for the artist. I don’t know how the world works but I want to live in a world where art is powerful, not financially so, but at least it helps people get through their days. If you can’t do anything to help, I understand there are things about the world I don’t understand as a lowly citizen. Best of luck and take care! Hello Neil,
Today is the 55th Anniversary of May 4, 1970 and I fear we are being set up for many more Kent States in the next four years. I was a high school hockey player who was on the Kent Campus May 4th, 1970 playing a hockey game when the shooting occurred. Kent changed my life forever. Thank you for your song, OHIO. Though it brings tears to my eyes, it reaffirms my belief in social justice every time I hear it.
I always wanted to know what you meant when you wrote, “Got to get down to it, Soldiers are cutting us down, Should have been gone long ago”? What were you thinking when you wrote SHOULD HAVE BEEN GONE LONG AGO? I sure would appreciate your thoughts on what that line means and what you were thinking when you wrote that line….

THE MISSION OF PEACE
Hi Neil,
I want to share with you how the illogic of the Presidency is impacting.
I work for a large Health Care Organization in my area in the field of mental health. We just had a mandatory staff meeting. We were informed that a psychiatrist and two mental health therapists were laid off. The need is there and they were stellar clinicians. Tell me why … As a clinician, my goal is to teach the ‘patient’ ways to experience more moments of peace in their life. Sometimes, I just listen.
It is very uncomfortable times at our world right now. Thankful I have a plan B, employment-wise, if the need arises. As I have said time and time again, the practice of Mindfulness is the best way through these experiences. My hope is that through The Consciously Evolving Community I can assist and support those who wish to enjoy the benefits of the practice and experience more moments of peace, despite the external and internal stimuli. I am having a bit of a time with the technology and the platform, but I have faith in me and the mission of peace.

thanks for this great movie and for taking us on this journey! You showed us that Neil is a (naturally ;-)) special person, but also a very normal person. It was also a pleasure to listen to the funny conversations on the bus. Also, it’s not just a movie about a tour; the movie itself is a work of art! Beautifully photographed, funny animations and often unusual camera perspectives! All of this comes into its own particularly well as a black-and-white film. And I only had to walk 10 minutes to ‘my’ movie theater for this wonderful experience! What a great way to get in the mood for the upcoming concerts!

Have you ever thought of playing a concert on NPR Tiny Desk? You should check this out. It‘s a famous format on YouTube. Round about 20 minutes of performance. Intimate atmosphere and always professional sound mix. I imagine this place would suit the Chrome Hearts perfectly.
