A SAFE TRIP

Hey Windy,

As you prepare for your big tour of UK and Europe, I wanted to wish you luck and a safe trip.

When you get old like us we need a bit of good luck to get through.

You mentioned once that the start of your guitar work that moved people was playing Farmer John at Fort William. What was that experience like out of body trip does it now occur every time you jam out on electric songs?

As I get older I really am appreciating the way you have lived your life never giving up never retiring never stopping just moving ahead what a treasure for all of us to soak up so big thanks Neil fan since ’72 .

“Talking to Trees” still happening? if so when?

One last question is the Oz & NZ tour on later in the year???

Would a LP of Stills Young and Nash work?

Are there any tapes left over from the “Long May you Run” LP or the tour tapes that were good enough to release??

genuine good times Neil

thanks Steve
looking forward to playing
wish it was already happening!
ITS HARD WAITING

LOTTA LOVE

Hi Neil

Looking forward to new music and the Hyde Park show.

One song i have been listening to a lot recently is Lotta Love … but it feels different to me in 2025 … I’m thinking less about two people in a relationship and more about everybody on the planet.

Its gonna take a lot of love to change the way things are for sure. Hope you consider it for your setlist this year.

Regards
Tim, Co.Kerry Ireland

Thanks for the idea Tim

SUGAR MOUNTAIN

Neil, the economy brought me back in the classroom to teach grade eights until summertime.

I asked my students if they’d ever heard your music. (One of them told me that their grandpa loves your old songs!)

I decided to play them ‘Sugar Mountain.’ I would love to show you what they wrote about what it’s like to grow up after hearing it several times.

You’ve got some new fans.

See you at Deer Lake.
Big love

Thanks ! See you there

BOSS BF-1

Hi Neil

Thanks for responding to my question about the settings … but I was referring to the settings of the Boss BF-1 … not the Whizzer!!

Any chance you could share the settings (or a pic) of your BF-1?

Thanks and apologies for the confusion

DUBLIN

Hi Neil,

I’ve been a fan of your music for a few years now, and I’m finally getting to see you live in Dublin with my family—I’m really excited! Your music has been a big part of my life and has helped me through tough times. Whenever I hear your songs, it motivates me to pick up my guitar and write music of my own.

I’m really looking forward to seeing you.

Kind regards,
James

Thanks for those words James

ORDINARY PEOPLE

Hey Neil

I just saw that you played Ordinary People live—wow, an amazing song I never expected you to play again. Hope it gets played in Europe in the summer!
Was it your idea to play it or one of the Chrome Hearts?

Cheers
Ian

Ian,
I have been working on Volume 4 where that song lives.

COASTAL

Hello Daryl and Neil (always address the ladies first),

I so thoroughly enjoyed seeing Coastal in my local movie theater. I was captured by the beauty of The Ford Amphitheater and The Randy Shell Theater as shown on the Big Screen. The performances were so intimate and moving. As an added bonus, a friend of mine and his wife, both of whom I had not seen since before the pandemic, sat down in the seats directly next to me. We renewed that connection and we all agreed what a great time it was.
As always, I wish you and your family well. Take care of yourself on the road and Give It Hell!

Love
Joe P.

Thanks Joe

ORDINARY PEOPLE

Hi Neil,

Wow. Just saw that you played Ordinary People live last night. One of my favorite songs ever!

You’re playing Montreux Jazz Fest this summer, imagine bringing a surprise brass band for a cheeky jazz wink and epic live version … just sayin!!

Anyways, can’t wait to see you live again. Don’t know if you’re aware, but the main stage in Montreux is a new outdoor stage built ON THE WATER of Lake Geneva with the Alps in the background, will be very very special.

Thank you for everything you do and stand for.

See you in Montreux,
Steve, a 32-year-old fan from Switzerland

see u there Steve

POLYTUNE

Hi Neil,

I see that you’ve been using PolyTune clip-on guitar tuners for some time now. Both on old black and acoustic guitars. I wonder how come? You never used them before and you still have the CONN Strobotuners on stage.

Best regards
Ralf

I don’t know Ralf
They are there from having the guitars at home.

WINNIPEG

ORDINARY PEOPLE

I bought the Coastal soundtrack CD online but not at the Greedy Hand Store. I have received it and listened to it numerous times. Will there be a way to get a corrected replacement?

I hope all is well with you and your family. I did see you last Saturday at the Greek Theater

Thank you, Craig

POWDERFINGER

All Things Neil

Hi Neil,Daryl and team.

Thanks so much for the Coastal film and Soundtrack, a joy to behold!
I look forward to seeing you at Hyde Park in July; l hope it’s not the last time l will see you in UK, but l suspect it might be.

This got me thinking and in particular my own Journey Thru The Past: l remember watching your Live Aid set at home and my Mum listening along. A few days later she said, “l like the one where the boat’s coming up the river.” Your concert at Hyde Park will be a couple of days before the 30th anniversary of my Mum’s passing. I hope that there’s at least a possibility that you might play Powderfinger, after all it is a powerhouse of a song!
Of course you will play whatever you like and l will love it, but a small part of my heart ❤️ will be yearning for Powderfinger. Sure you will bring love and joy throughout Europe and UK on your visit and it’s inevitable you will rock Glasto! 🎸
All my very best wishes
Ken (Liverpool)

Thanks Ken POWDERFINGER!

AMERICANA
SQUIRES

You played some of Americana songs with The Squires in 60s. Are the music arrangements of Americana songs same than with The Squires or are they new ones?
Marko from Finland

Marko,
Not sure. Probably the same.

ORDINARY PEOPLE

Dear Mr. Young,

Last night I had the opportunity and pleasure to see “Coastal” in San Luis Obispo for the film fest closing night. As a lover of your music, Neil, I found it to be beautiful and a once in a lifetime moment to sit side by side with you on the road. Your humor, enlightenment and outreach has always been a highlight but I think this film truly showcases that in a time when we need it most. Please pass my compliments on to Daryl, as it was incredible to see you through her eyes (and lens) and put this film together.

I hope that you will play here in our home on the coast again soon.
Love Earth!
Cheers, David

VIETNAM

Hi Neil,

With yesterday being the 50th anniversary of the US military leaving Vietnam, I was wondering. Did you, or do you know anyone that was over there? That served in combat. My dad was. He served with the USMC.

My thoughts about that day is that it was not necessarily a good day, but sad.

Your friend,
Christopher

Hi Neil I can’t wait to see you on tour this summer. I seen you last year at Pine Knob. This year I’m seeing you at Blossom Music Center. This will be my 4th time seeing you—my first concert was at 7 or 8 years old, now I’m 25. I love your music.

Thanks

Sweet Jesus! I love that song. I’ve been a listener almost daily of your music since I was 15 years old (Zuma) I’m 64 now and that tune is so relevant. Might be here and it might be there.
