How Do We Declare the “Earth Revolution”

Can we be voices crying in the wilderness FOR the wilderness. There was Christianity; there was Feudalism; there was Marxism; there was Capitalism, and now there is Earth. Make no doubt. The planet’s heatwave is revolutionary. It has content that would freeze us in our tracks if we understood it. The Earth is quickly changing everything in ways so basic we don’t have the language for it. Trump and Putin and Xi and Modi have very little power compared to the Earth, and look pitiful as we see larger and larger amounts of money, soldiers, and paranoid drones spent on hopeless emergencies.

We still act in our public language like the heatwave is just “extreme weather.” We can’t do what indigenous people do. They accept that the Earth is a living being with a purpose. The “Earth Revolution” is building change inside We the People. It is growing in us big change psychologically, first of all because we sense that our loved ones will be killed. That’s where it starts. I take that quick daily glance at the screen. Oh it’s Chattanooga today, people drowning in their cars.

Something happened at Monday at the Neil Young “love earth tour” show that makes me stand at my pulpit in a state of amazement. We did this same tour last year and something is very different in the people out there in the stands, 16 months later. Monday night 10,000 folks shouting Earthalujah back at the seven us, helping them shout from the stage. Yes, there are a lot of us crying in the wilderness now. They are interacting with us with a basic kind of understanding, or even a kind of relief.

Our requests in our show that people come up with intimate Earth memories, right there on the spot, memories from when they were 8 or 9 years old and saw the soul in an owl’s eyes, felt the water and wind coming from the ancient days, looked up agog at the starry night sky. We shout Earthalujah! with high-powered Love, for our next song, our next shout, tearing open the veil for direct contact with the Earth. Earthalujah!
