Backseat drivers don’t know the feel of the wheel
But they sure know how to make a fuss
-Bob Dylan
Criticism comes so naturally to us humans. We see a person in a situation and we immediately have an opinion of how it should be handled. We would never do what they did. We would never live that way, make that choice, etc. We can even become sanctimonious about it.
The thing is – we are not them. We don’t know the whole situation, what led to it, or what might lie on the other side of it if a change is made.
The last thing we want is someone else criticizing us or giving their unsolicited opinions and/or advice. We should afford others the same courtesy.
