Danger Bird
by Neil Young

Danger bird flies alone
He rides the wind back to his home

Although his wings have turned to stone

And we used to be so calm
Now I think about you all day long
‘Cause you’ve been with another man
Here you are and here I am
The jailbird takes the rap
He finds himself spread-eagled on the track

But the training that he learned
Will get him nowhere fast
And I know we should be free
With the rain pounding on his back

But freedom’s just a prison to me
He recalls the moment that he cracked
‘Cause I lied to keep it kind
Long ago in the museum with his friends
When I left you far behind
And like those memories
The rain keeps pounding
Down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down

And though these wings have turned to stone
I can fly fly away I can fly above the city
Like a shadow on the sky
Fly, fly, fly Fly, fly, fly Fly, fly, fly

The Shadow of Envy

by Victoria Cavaleri

Envy seeks to destroy. It withholds when truth is needed most. It pretends to love yet gives nothing in return.

Empaths embody truth, and that truth is resented by the envious, who cannot face their own souls. They will disguise jealousy as tenderness yet quietly dim your light. They let you sacrifice yourself while they hide from their own emptiness.

Over time, you begin to see it: a circle of darkness meant to invalidate your shine. Breaking free comes at great cost, especially when children are caught in the shadows. But to stay is to be diminished, depleted, and blamed for the suffering you did not cause. It takes courage to walk away. It takes strength to hold onto your light. But once you rise, you understand that the light in you was always meant to shine — for yourself, and for those who still believe in love.
