I want to let you know that our transition from AWS (Amazon Web Services) to Digital Ocean to host the NYA infrastructure is proceeding on schedule and should be completed in a few more weeks. We appreciate the support Digital Ocean has provided to NYA to expedite this move.
While migrating a massive high-resolution library and site like NYA is a significant and costly undertaking, the move to Digital Ocean aligns with my need for the high-performance delivery of master-quality audio without relying on the Amazon ecosystem.
I’ve removed my digital music from Amazon Music, I’ve removed the sale of all my physical media from the Amazon Store, and this final transition to Digital Ocean completes my dependence on Amazon, a company I cannot do business with because of Bezos support of the Trump administration through huge donations and cooperation with ICE.
