Hi, I write a lot about my music here and introduce songs and albums you have never heard before. And I do it pretty regularly. That’s what makes NYA good for music lovers …… but I also write about the Earth a lot.
Earth news is back in the paper and currently not as many folks see it as the front page, and I know you come here mainly for my music news…but..…That said, The Earth, our home, our children’s home, is in Big Trouble. Our grandchildren will not grow up in a similar world to what we knew when we were young. But that’s not all. Species are going extinct daily. Big business ignores Earth’s plight on a regular basis. News Media is scared to mention this and lose their viewers. It’s just not uplifting and entertaining, but it is informing.
In 1972, MIT released a study saying our life here on Earth would never be the same after 2040, mostly because of Climate Chaos and its effect on our daily existence and our business world.
MIT has been proven correct. We are on course for those predictions they made. A little ahead of schedule actually. We need to change a lot of things right now. Right now. Today.
To make this change real we need to do some things that guarantee the politician in charge could never ever be re-elected. If Biden would do what he has to today he would be committing his political suicide. That’s OK. He should do what is needed anyway. He took an oath. It’s not about him.
Killing Big Oil subsidies would make the ‘price at the pump’ a lot higher. Do it now. Slow down consumption and use. People will make less pollution. Tax new sales of Fossil fueled cars. Fossil Fueled cars are planet killers. Give big breaks to electric buyers. Illegalize more fossil fueled car manufacturing. Force change through leadership. Those are undemocratic things to do. Do them. Don’t let us die.
Our 24-7 work ethic is history. Big tall unhealthy buildings are history. Crowded freeways are history. Life will never be the same. People can work from home, doing many things that they do not need cars for. They can be with their families more.
The Earth as we knew it, our way of life as it was, is dying. It’s not too late to help save some of it for our grandchildren. This is real. Get engaged NOW. Think about the damage that you do. Reverse it. When we here at NYA scan the news for stories about the danger now presented to Earth, we share that Earth News throughout this paper. WE ARE WITH YOU. Be aware of the problems we face. Please don’t wait another day. Our leaders are scared to act. They would never be re-elected. That system is not working as it did historically because we have never faced this before.
We have to be aware of today’s situation – not living in a distracted Q-world of TRUTH denial. This is bigger than anything humanity has ever faced. Ever. Do more than you can.
Push the boundaries of caring for Earth. Give up a lot of things. Make new things to replace them. New ways of living. We can win.
There is much we can do. Be aware of the damage caused by certain activities. Learn what you can do, taking an interest in the future of mankind. Don’t dismiss this message. That’s way too easy. Take a good look around yourself. Multiple hundred year storms. Pandemics. Ice melts. Seas rising. Island countries sinking into the water. Areas of Earth that are becoming unfit for human habitation. Too hot. Too wet. Underwater. Where will those people go?

As mentioned earlier in this story, MIT released a study and projection in 1972 that we would make irreversible damage to EARTH and our way of life would be then forever different. It already is. Look around. We are not going back to the old normal. We are right on course with the predictions of MIT……even a bit ahead of the schedule they predicted. Wake up and do what you can for humanity, for your kids, theirs.
