The music journal Aquarium Drunkard has been shining a light on an eclectic selection of incredible music for the last 20 years. In their own words, “AD traces the connective tissue between contemporary sounds and the outer reaches of psych, jazz, avant-garde, dub, folk, post-punk and beyond. For heads, by heads”.
They recently concluded the second season of their podcast All One Song, in which writer Tyler Wilcox invites a different guest each episode to discuss a single song of Neil’s. The title, as you may have clocked, is taken from a noted quote by Neil at the beginning of Year Of The Horse (and elsewhere).
Recent highlights include Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo discussing Down By The River and Ira Caplan of Yo La Tengo talking Big Crime. The Chrome Hearts’ own Micah Nelson also appeared recently to talk about Change Your Mind from Sleeps With Angels, as well as his ongoing collaboration with Neil. It’s well worth a listen and we’ve embedded it below.
