The Monsanto Years – Neil Young + Promise Of The Real
released 6-29-2015
My first album with Promise of the Real, Monsanto Years, is an album i am very proud of making. This company – Monsanto – and its products are responsible for so much death and hardship that it is hard for me to fathom. We played and recorded in a little theater in OXNARD Ca, called TEATRO.
John Hanlon was at the board. We set up all my old stuff in there – Multi track analog and all.
Willie did an album there a while back. Daryl and I were just together and I was not that healthy. it shows in some of the vocals, but the feeling is there. I so love playing with Promise of the Real. What a great band! I hope you enjoy this, one of my most memorable albums. Music is such a powerful force against evil.
love,
be well
