This album is a barely a blur in my memory. Released in 2007, it was recorded in a garage I had built on Broken Arrow Ranch and called “Feelgood’s Garage’. ‘The Way’ was one of Larry Johnson’s favorites, especially the piano at the end of the recording. Ordinary People, here with the Bluenotes, is a big song that I think was written on an ocean voyage to Hawaii, aboard the WN Ragland, a Baltic trader renamed after my grandfather when it was rebuilt in the mid 70’s. ‘No Hidden Path’ is a song I wrote about the forest on Broken Arrow where I used to walk regularly. Produced by Niko Bolas and myself ‘The Volume Dealers’, it is ready for a listen. I have not heard it in a while, so I will be listening with you.
