We will exercise with abandon our freedom of expression, freedom to trust strangers, freedom to experience our bodies, to love as we wish, free from White Christian Nationalist violence, freedom from algorithms, freedom from billionaires and freedom to tax billionaires and freedom to bring billionaires to justice.
We will strengthen our right of assembly, of protest and of the press. Suppress weapons industries, stop their assembly lines and wipe their computers. Bankers of gas and oil and coal will be pulled by the hair back to the Paris Climate Agreement. The Earth is our first citizen. And Aretha Franklin is reinstated as the queen of the Kennedy Center.
We will enjoy freedom from the fascism of production at all cost, of slavish obedience to the market. The mono-culture of shopping will be overwhelmed by sidewalk gifts, stains, complexities like forests in storms and eccentric humans with uncontrolled taste. Raging-dopamine-addicted hard right males will be rehabbed in Vermont dairy farms where they are forced to cultivate cauliflower before dawn.
We will be free to live with swamps, messy edges, real life, bad art, neighborhoods full of meandering stories, too much kindness and parks without poisons. We will be free to share what we have without being accused of being commies or liberals or George Soros. The name-calling is fine but haters can’t have lawyers, guns or money. Love will run things.
