Climate change, a challenge to our planet, is paramount among the issues facing us all. It is unifying in its scope, a world-wide crisis. The changing seasons with their radical departures from normal weather are a threat to our very survival. Witness the fires in California, as just the latest example. Now California’s air is damaging to breath in many areas.
We, humanity, are causing this problem. We cannot afford to ignore it. Our use of fossil fuel has changed our climate. We, ourselves are doing this. Scientists all agree. It is a fact.
Yet here we are, with stumbling leadership that is more concerned with selling oil and making quick money in the short term, more concerned with self-worth than protecting our children for generations to come. “Drill baby drill”, is what our government leader says! He is dead wrong.
In this day and age, it is unbelievable to have leadership this unaware. Yet here we are, and something must be done to change our fate.
People can act on their own to fight the causes of Climate change. People can make their own decisions and act in the interest of others even when their leaders cannot.
We can do this together. Use less fuel. We can use less and less until there is no fossil fuel being used. Electric home heaters and electric cars are much cleaner and better for our children. Driving slower saves a lot of fuel usage. Car sharing saves a lot of fuel and damage from being done.
Saving diverse eco systems can do a lot of good. They hold a key to rebalancing our climate. Please do what you can for your children, those who you love…..Save them from this. You can see it every day, everywhere. These climate catastrophes are our own doing. They are happening all around our world. More and more. Not less and less. We are causing this. Please join the movement to save the earth from the devastating damage we are causing. Research it. Learn what you can do.
