Neil gave the 2024 tour with Crazy Horse the title “Love Earth”, and future tours may also carry the name. He and Daryl are addressing the great emergency of our day with the power of music and film. This page will gather musings, research, strategies and inspiration as new touring is explored. The initial contributors to the page include Charris and Dulcie Ford and son Kashius the creators of “The Village”, the gathering of local activists who show their work at the outset of concerts, as well as Savitri D and Reverend Billy Talen from “The Church of Stop Shopping.”
A Meditation on “Love Earth”
“Love Earth”. If I say that phrase out loud, then I’m reminding myself to love the gift of life and this beautiful planet. If I say it to someone else, then I’m suggesting that we be gentle with our Mother. In fact, “Love Earth” is a strong eco-slogan, because it says that our strongest emotion – love – is the motivator of our fight for the Earth.
The Earth gives us Love and we return the Love to the Earth, and the circle will not be broken.
We can Love Earth:
-by burning less fuel, -driving the cleanest cars, -encouraging carmakers to go electric -Using clean heat. Fossil fuels are killing Earth’s atmosphere, making it hard for us to live.
Love Earth!
Our Earth is a living thing, as the native elders teach us. And the Earth is the maker and care-taker of all of life, including humankind. Desire and love is how life comes into being. The Earth is the host to all the life that it makes, the inventor of Love, and “Love Earth” is simply returning our Love to the original Lover.
