There are two tremendous releases of energy, two rivers carving out hills and crashing into cities. One, is the Peace movement for Palestine, pouring through the streets in many nations, screaming GENOCIDE! into the world’s language. And then there are the many branches of the same river, the long unending walking of migrants, the world citizens, longing for a safe place to live on the other side of some militarized border. They are on the roads and on the sea, in the forests and deserts and make-shift camps… approaching 120 million souls.
The second river is everywhere, on both sides of every border. It is the biggest river of all, the floods and fires, storms and droughts of the Earth. The suffering everywhere comes into us, gets through to us even as some us mask it out with our consumerism. This raging river wraps around the globe, called by some the “Global Heatwave.” Some of us have a more sweeping perspective. We see a deep, rapid evolution across the world, impacting all living things, “The Sixth Extinction.”
These two flooding rivers are accelerating madly, and soon they will join together, combining into one great torrent so furiously strong that nations, tribes and religions will lose their bloody borders to a new way of life and death. It is on its way to becoming the general surface of the planet, a permanent storm and fire. This kind of talk isn’t heard at all among the general public. And yet the two rivers are taking us, psychologically or bodily, by force. In some way, we all know what the Earth is doing. All we can do is work hard, revolt against the poisoners and ride this wave with our Love!
