"Thought Dreams"

by Tami Chandler

Every day our minds are filled with a myriad of thoughts and the emotions that accompany them. Some brain research suggests that the average person has over 6,000 thoughts per day.

It is human nature to want to express our thoughts, which is often a healthy practice. Before we do, we should consider whether sharing some of them is a good idea. Sometimes it’s helpful or entertaining to pass them on to others. Sometimes it’s best to keep them to ourselves.

The same goes for those thoughts we refer to as “dreams” – the goals or plans we have that may seem out of reach. Often for best results, dreams should be entrusted with a select few, for they are so very delicate and must be carefully nurtured.

The advantage of being a bit more quiet in the age of information overload lies in the satisfaction of being listened to when you do speak. It’s a wonderful feeling to share the good news of a dream fulfilled.
