TONIGHTS THE NIGHT 50th
Is there gonna be a 50th anniversary edition of Tonight’s The Night? As you did with TFA and Beach.
Smoky grey vinyl would be a great look!
We will look at doing this.

1992 GARDEN STATE ARTS CENTER
HI, I noticed you put up the 1992 Garden State Arts Center show from New Jersey. I think I was at that show. Is this the show where a young girl gave Neil a battery operated dancing flower that he put under his chair? If so. this was the best show I ever saw. I had really good seats and after a few songs Neil invited everyone to come down and get closer to the stage. I had my elbows on the stage and just soaked up the love that night.
I remember Neil made a point of telling the security that everyone is being really cool and it was ok. That’s right—NO TROUBLE that night. Just the greatest cool vibes from the greatest musician of all.
Thanks and hope it is the same show.
God Bless in these rough times.
It will get better.
All my love

BLOSSOM
Dear Neil,
Thank you for an amazing concert on August 15th, 2025 at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. My brother and I were there in our lawn seats enjoying your music and the wonderful songs you sang. I saw you with CSNY in 1974 and in 2000 with CSNY but never saw you solo or with Crazy Horse or The Chrome Hearts. What an opportunity to finally see you again another twenty-five years later. Thank you for your songs and great guitar playing, which was awesome. And Thank you for OHIO of course. It was just a great time spent with my Brother and with Neil Young. Wish we could see you again. I’ve always been a fan and at 79 years old you can still deliver. My Friend Keep On Rockin In The Free World. We need more Neil Youngs to listen to.

Hey Neil,
Was at the two concerts in T.O.
Loved both.
But … Spooner was totally lost in the mix.
Maybe it was a ‘Freewater’ Arena problem.
Good luck on the rest of the tour.

SUN GREEN
Sun Green 2025 update …
Throughly enjoying the on-the-road notes from your North America tour & seeing the setlist morph once again. We’re a long way from that opening night on a cool evening in Sweden…
As we walked down the quarry track into the depths of Dalhalla I was buzzing to see the Greendale mics back in situ on stage. I’ve loved the album since the first time I heard it and it remains one of my most played albums. The solo shows here in Europe were so special and those electric shows in the US were genuinely unique.
Hearing two Greendale tracks this summer was special too. Be The Rain was/is a prescient warning, but still global government seems determined to crash & burn the planet, come-what-may.
So I wonder what Sun Green would make of it all now? Hanging out in John Lee’s bar, maybe the Imitators are still cranking it out. I’d like to think that she’d still be a radical activist, sitting there, thinking about her next move…
So, what do you think Sun Green would make of it all? A brand new Greendale for 2026 would be a treat. How about it?!?
Really looking forward to seeing what the next move is for you and the outstanding Chrome Hearts is after the tour is done.
New record? Another tour?
Keep it all coming please…
Grateful thanks, as ever.

OPINIONS
Neil, You’re losing me more and more. Why can’t you keep your political opinions to yourself? You know what they say about opinions. You are in the minority now and everyone might not feel the same as you. I love our President. I love what he is doing to make our beautiful nation better. Just go with the flow Neil. Preach about the earth instead. I’m glad I saw Willie instead this summer. He doesn’t lambast our President like you and D. Love you Lisa
…
Neil and Chrome Hearts, On another note. Just watched YouTubes of Hurricane and Cowgirl from NH, 8/21/25. Awesome. Keep up the good work. Love Lisa
Hi Lisa
You are always free to express your opinions here.
I write my songs and sing them.
Everyone has their own view.
As for Earth, this government has done more to damage Earth and our future than any other US government I can remember.

PINE KNOB
Uncle Neil,
Greetings from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Thanks for a great show at Pine Knob on August 13. You guys rocked it, and it looked like you boys were really having fun. Great vibe. So happy we got to share that night with you. We were also there for the last ride of the Horse, and while we loved that show, this year’s gig felt better. Thanks for sharing your time and giving us so much. Your willingness to share your gift of music is one the greatest gifts we all get to share.
For nearly 40 years, you’ve been our God of music and provided the soundtrack of our lives. Not sure how, but you still do it as good as ever. Pure and simple, heart and soul, and shameless with your love, your music moves us and inspires us to be our best selves. In a time when too many people are willing to trash the Earth, you keep hope alive for Earth-lovers worldwide.
This year, we enjoyed your show with the Hearts in Detroit so much, we’re headed to Milwaukee to catch you guys again. This time, we’ll be living a lifelong dream and rockin’ in the pit. Can’t wait to see you up close and personal, and hear your music dancing across the water of Lake Michigan. Like so many, we love you and cherish the music and memories you’ve given us. With so much war, hate, and destruction these days, it’s refreshing to hear your voice of peace and love for the Earth. Thank you. See you in Brew City.
Peace and Love,
Dawn and Dew
P.S. You’re invited to visit us here in Marquette, Michigan, either on tour or on vacation. You’d love it here, and we’d love to host you, D, and the Dogs, for a tour of one the most pure and beautiful places on Earth, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Until then and beyond, we’ll keep your songs ringing out, through the woods and across the waters of the Great Lake State.
LOVE to you Dawn and Dew…..

HARVEST TIME
Hi Neil. I recently saw you in Toronto and loved your concert! It was a long wait from last year but totally worth it. I have always admired and respected your talent, and now even more!
Two years ago I saw the Harvest Time documentary and would love to watch it again. Is there any platform that we can watch it again? Thanks so much for your gift to the music world.

GILFORD CONN.
BETHEL
Neil:
I saw the Love Earth tour in Gilford NH. Great venue and the band was great (I especially love Corey McCormick. He is always so solid and full of love). I have seen you close to 30 times and it was the first time ever hearing Ambulance Blues. What a treat. I brought my older brother, who was not familiar with the song. When you sang, “I never knew a man could tell so many lies. He had a different story for every set of eyes. How can he remember who he’s talking to? ‘Cause I know it ain’t me, and hope it isn’t you,” My brother thought you wrote this about Trump! I told him it was written over 50 years ago and he couldn’t believe it. But that is the power of great music. 50-plus years on, and it is as relevant today as it was when it was new. Can’t wait to catch the show at Bethel Woods. Best wishes for the rest of a great tour. Much love to you and Daryl.
…
Hello again. Just wanted to drop you another note after seeing the show last night at Bethel Woods. Great set at such a magical place. I ran into Reverend Billy before the show. What a great guy. I am also confident I saw Daryl in the Woodstock museum before the show. I wanted to say “hi,” but also wanted to respect her privacy so I didn’t. Please give her my best. Thanks for another great tour. The music means so much to me. It is the soundtrack of my life.

ALBUQUERQUE
Hey, Neil!
Just wondering if you might want to play “Albuquerque” at your Chicago show August 27. My husband and I drove the entire Route 66 in 2017, and when we got to Albuquerque, we had fried eggs and country ham on our way to Santa Fe, listening to that beautiful song the entire time. It’s one of my great memories, which means even more to me now since Bill died 17 months ago. (You met us in Austin in 2010 when you signed our Archives book and that SHAKEY license plate from the ’93 Harley.)
Many of the best memories in our 38 years of marriage were wrapped around seeing you perform at the Bridge School Benefit concert, Farm Aid, and many other shows, meeting other Neil Young fans, and riding that motorcycle. We called it LONER when we got a Wisconsin license plate for it, because we thought of it as being “on loan” from you. (Otherwise LONER didn’t quite fit because I was always on the back.)
Hope you also continue to play “Like a Hurricane” on this tour because that song is the exact story of how we met. (Bet you didn’t know you were writing it for us.)
I’ll be at the Chicago show with my brother whom you’ve also met. About two months after that Austin show in 2010, I took him to see you play in Milwaukee as a birthday gift. I jokingly told him that if we got there early enough, I could introduce him to you. He believed me, and we happened to run into you before the show, so I was able to make good on my “promise.” We are both so excited to be seeing you again, even if it’s not quite so up close and personal this time!
Love,
Liz
Thanks Liz,

JONES BEACH
Thanks for the great show at Jones Beach on August 23. It was the fifth time I have seen you there.
I was just at Jones Beach on August 1 for the Outlaw tour. Lucinda Williams also did a great Rockin in the Free World to end her show.
One request: With all the improvements to the timeline, can you add band members to the tour information? I always wondered what the difference was between the Restless and the Lost Dogs was in 1989.
Thanks,
Russ

Neil,
Last night. Jones Beach. Wow. The message was clear. The call to save America and the earth was heard. I have seen you so many times over the years always grateful. It’s a magic shows in the past the solo Coastal show in Berkeley.
Anyways I think the chrome hearts have revitalized you or are keeping you going because you have the perfect combination up there It’s a blessing to have you still rocking and doing it so well. I want to thank you.
Hopefully the Jones Beach show makes the timeline!!!!
Can we hear the story about how you got your high school guitar back and what Grestch that is?
All blessings to you and your family, band and crew!
Take America back!

JONES BEACH
Dear Neil,
Saw you last night at Jones Beach with two of my daughters—show #3 and #1 for them. Swaying and singing Harvest Moon with them was one of those life moments I don’t think I will ever forget. Sadly, only one show for me on this tour, but I look forward to seeing you again up the road.

JONES BEACH
Ahoy! My wife and I made a snap decision to go see you guys at Jones Beach last night. We wound up sitting up in the boondocks, which was fine for us. We got to watch the orchestra pit waters grow as high tide came in with the lights from the stage shimmering and mirroring back up at us. We also got to watch the seagulls, who were sleeping on the roof of the stage during the quiet songs, get startled and start flying around the bay during the heavy songs. The first time it happened during Cowgirl it looked like a special effect. They were synchronized with that big first chord. At one point later on, there was one gull that hovered above the crowd for a while to see what all the ruckus was about! This all added to the overall atmosphere! Great set list, lots of rarities. The band sounds amazing. Micah is a real jack of all trades bouncing around from guitar to lap steel to piano and even megaphone squeals! Neil’s voice was the strongest I’ve heard in a while, even cutting through the winds of the upper deck. Great job guys! See ya’ll down the road!

FRESHWATER AMPHITHEATRE
Hi Neil,
Thank you for always keeping Canada in mind and for riding the Silver Eagle to Toronto to rock the Freshwater Amphitheatre. I went to both nights, and you and the Chrome Hearts absolutely killed it—you sounded phenomenal. I read that you won’t play that venue again until they change their name, and I completely understand and agree. Hopefully, you’ll make your way back to Toronto (or the Greater Toronto Area) sometime in the near future. Wishing you the best for the rest of the tour, and I hope to see you again soon.
Peace and love,

BETHEL WOODS
Dear Neil:
Thanks for the great show at Bethel Woods! I last saw you there in 2006 with CSNY. It was great to hear Mr. Soul with your long lost Gretsch 6120, and Roll Another Number was another treat.
So glad that Spooner is still rocking with you guys! The Chrome Hearts rock!
I’m curious, when Daryl shoots her movies, does she use a phone, DSLR, or a more “conventional” video camera? Just wondering….

TORONTO / DEER PARK
Hi Neil and the Chrome Hearts. My wife and I were thrilled to have seated front row for the Toronto Aug 19th show. I first saw you in Toronto at Maple Leaf Gardens Feb 18/83 as a college student.
Since then we’ve spread the word of Neil during concerts (to name a few) to Vancouver, Calgary, Seattle, Coastal Tour (Paso Robles), and we were lucky enough to be at the Roxy in 2023 (Borrowed Tune was epic).
Just want to thank you for all the great times. During the last Toronto show we got a picture of me in my Honour the Treaties T-shirt beside the Silver Eagle after the show as you were trying to leave in the rain and traffic.
Next show for us is Sept 6th Deer Lake Park in Burnaby with our daughter and her boyfriend. Just want to send my appreciation of your art and determination to make this Earth a better place.
See you on the 6th, I’ll be in my Honour T-shirt, as that is the tradition now since 2014.

Long time fan. Very much looking forward to both Vancouver shows in a couple weeks.
Hoping you might play Thrasher the first Vancouver show, should the mood strike you. For a young lady who connects to her lost mother through the song. No pressure, I’m sure you get a million of these requests and we’ll be happy with your music either way.
Love that you’ve been representing Tonight’s the Night with New Mama at some shows. Beautiful stuff. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

LONG LIVE LONG GRAIN
DISCOGRAPHY
Hey Neil—
I just wanted to say thanks for all the joy you’ve given me the past few years. I had known your music for a while and Harvest had always been one of my absolute favorite albums, but during the fall of 2023, I decided I should take the time and go through your discography. I really can’t overstate how much all your music meant to me as I listened to all these albums. Now when I go back and re-listen, each one reminds me of a distinct memory from the past few years, so I guess you could say your music has literally been the soundtrack of my life so far. My favorites without a doubt are anything you put out involving Ben Keith—he truly was magical. I also saw you at Jazz Fest in New Orleans last year and I was finally able to cross seeing Down By The River, Powderfinger, and Ohio live off my bucket list! All in one show!
Needless to say, I’m incredibly grateful for you and your music and I honestly don’t know where I would be without some of it.
Thanks a million,
Tripp
