I see the announcement of the release of the Live Album through Record Store Day. Unfortunately, there is no track list associated with the release. Will we see a track list as we get closer to that date? I know you mentioned Cortez being on there (and your belief that it may be the best Cortez ever!), but I was curious if we will know which tracks appear in the coming days.

Gutted Neil won’t be playing this year in Glasgow. I had set up my laptop in the middle of Scottish highlands while working at 9am to secure tickets for the concert in November. I hope he’ll be coming back this way soon. We’re running out of true musicians these days to go and appreciate.

Hi Neil. I’ve been contemplating Part II to my first message I sent you several months ago. I couldn’t believe you responded and I know I said it didn’t matter, but of course I was touched. I thought in Part II, I’d tell you I’m deeply connecting with your music and I saw you in Charlotte NC for my first concert Sep ’25. Incredible. But, I have something more important.
I want to check in on you. I hope you’re doing ok. Hope you & Daryl are well. The state of things in this country is turning our world upside down. And I hear your frustration and see how obligated you feel to get the message out. It’s a lot of pressure.
I’ve always had empathy for gifted artists. I imagine it’s overwhelming. Then, I saw the tour cancellation in Europe. Worrying about you and knowing you’ll get negative feedback. It’s ok, Neil. Take care of yourself and those around you. Just catch your breath. I get it and many of us do. You do not owe us anything. You gave us a gift by sharing your talent. Good morning Neil! So much to talk about, mostly I want to say thank you. Thank you for your kindness to Judy. I met her outside the Capitol Theatre queueing for the Chrome Hearts. She told me about her work for the archives. I promised her I would write about my Harmonica Hand incident at the Bridge School Event. I have not yet kept that promise, but I will. She was passionate about your music and PONO, things we shared. She also wanted to be on the rail like so many of us. Sadly safety concerns denied her experience. I like to think she will always be center rail now. Take care and keep spreading love.

It started for me in 1973 when I bought Time Fades Away in a local record shop. Since that day, Neil has enriched my life—without exaggeration, every single day. So that’s 53 years now. I can hardly imagine a more authentic artist or a more sincere human being.
And of course I had tickets for the concert that was scheduled for July 8 this year. I was truly upset when I heard that Neil was cancelling the European tour. Of course I understand it, but it hit me hard. It did make me realize even more that I live a life in which Neil is always present somewhere.
I hope I’ll have another chance in the future to attend a concert again.
And Neil, thank you so incredibly much for all those special moments and for your pure and thoughtful view of the world. You’ve made countless people a little happier. Thank you!!

Please share something about the Walk for Peace. They will be arriving in Washington DC in the next few days. I think it is important to focus on the good that is trying so hard to shine their light through the darkness of our times.
I am enjoying and intrigued by my study of Functional Medicine. Silly me, I thought that was what all Doctors do. Nope, conventional medicine (MD) treats symptoms and disease with pills and surgery. Functional medicine (FM) providers treat the root cause of the illness or ‘dis-ease.’ FM providers do not prescribe pills and do not have to be MD’s. FM providers analyze blood work from a biological systems approach and a personalized assessment. They spend 60 minutes with their ‘patients’. MDs spend 15 and prescribe a pill, order tests, or refer out. MDs take insurance FMs do not.
The best scenario is collaboration as both areas are of value.
Consciously concerned … about so many things.
Deepak Chopra, a ‘spiritual guru’ was in the Epstein files. I recall going to an event he was presenting in my area. Immediately felt the shady vibes. What is the lack in the souls who are morally impaired and how do ‘we’ assist to heal that wound?
Love and only love … peace walks, education, healing circles, awareness, boundaries and impeachments of the morally imbalanced humans in government and power.

So very good to see so many folks writing in about the protests, and I will be glad when they won’t be needed anymore but keep on until it is so!
Listening to Bandit I am reminded that I rarely look for a book, record or magazine article; they find me. It’s the muse of course, but what am I looking for now?
As I grow older, still finding myself in the same dirty clothes hamper of renting, and having to move, I guess I’d like some sort of stability. Yet with everything there is a reason. I’m not angry the folks who own my house want to sell it. That’s their right, I’m angry at myself for accumulating audio gear. l used to love repairing gear and listening to it when I was done, but those days are over.
I have to move on; and that’s hard.
One of my mentors, Geoff, passed away. We were close and still are, but his knowledge is gone and his physical presence is missed.
It is the end of an era, and I hope our effect stays.
I’m almost completely out of my old digs and am still searching for another.
I’m hoping it finds me!

Bummer about the Euro tour. Hope all is well. Regarding the upcoming “Hard Luck Stories” Trocadero release, is this the same audience recording as the timeline concert on NYA? Or did you discover that you had recorded the gig yourself? You are right about the significance of this show. I remember the first time I heard it back in ’97. It’s right up there with the Catalyst ’90 show.
