It was another night of great fun and music with Promise of the Real, my amazing friends and cohorts. How lucky I am to be able to go from a string of solo shows in beautiful theaters to the historic FEQ Festival in Quebec with Promise of the Real.
We warmed up in the truck and had the beat from our first note. The crowd was with us and love was too. Its times like these that make me feel so fortunate to be doing what I am doing. We jammed and jammed. Not only did we play for ourselves and have a memorable night, we had the great pleasure of playing for our friends Les Quebecois.
The heat wave that hit Quebec was devastating. Thirty four people died. It relented the day of our show and temperatures were cool. We send our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
80,000 people shared this experience. Life is for living.
