Through the natural beauty of the Norwegian forest mountain passes with waterfalls coming down from thousands of feet above, all around as we pass, I’m thinking about how we woke up this morning to see the roofs of the houses surrounding us covered with thick grass. We are now on the highway to Bergen, a winding beauty, passing giant rock formations and verdant trees and growth, incredible waterways with rapids opening onto large lakes. Old buildings in wonderful condition on the banks. Snow capped mountain peaks above. Tunnels up to 26 kilometers in length, carved through the rock. Natural rock for 26 kilometers! I am in awe of the beauty and power of these projects. These Norwegions are an awesome building people….
About three hours from the stage now, opening into some farmlands, now back to the canyons with their rock walls, the tunnels… Emerging from the tunnel to green growth over rocks, trees everywhere, coming right from the rocks. Rushing waters…
After the show, rain and happy faces, souls swinging together, a ride through the night, along the fjords, through the tunnels on the edge of steepness, above the water. Onward to the hotel still out there somewhere. Two shows down. Three hours. Lights in the distance.
